2 Killed In 2 Separate Accidents On State Route 54

Two people were recently killed in two separate crashes on the same road in Florida. The fatal accidents occurred on the evening of June 30 on State Road 54 in Zephyrhills and New Port Richey.
The first accident happened around 10 p.m. that evening at State Road 54 in Zephyrhills. A Jeep Wrangler was traveling eastbound on State Road 54, near Ryals Road. At the same time, a pedestrian was walking westbound while in the eastbound lane. The Jeep struck the pedestrian, a 24-year-old man from Land O’ Lakes. The man died at the accident scene.
The second accident happened a few hours later, at around midnight. A 17-year-old girl from Tarpon Springs was driving a car and heading east on State Road 54. A 34-year-old motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction on the same road. At the intersection of Crestwood Boulevard, the girl turned left into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, a 34-year-old man from New Port Richey, died at the accident scene.
